Doubling Down

Double the number of metal tubes, with just 10 days left before install...who DOES that?

I like to say the "Landscape made me do it."

Responding to site is a lot like being responsive to loved ones...when they need something, call for something, desire something, well, you just naturally want to try to meet the need.  It's like that with building sculpture in the landscape...the landscape becomes a co-creator, and if I can tune in to what it tells me...the experience is just that much more thrilling.

In order to meet this new 'requirement,' yesterday, I hired one more intern, ordered 500 more tubes and 200 more rebar.  I have to wait a few days before they arrive... and the clock is ticking.

I'm calm though, because the process, whether it's 100 tubes or 750 tubes is the same...so all I have to do, really, is work the process.  Here it is in photos:

Each tube has a sticky bar code label that has to be removed.

Each tube gets a cap glued onto one end.

Each tube is gently bent,
like a blade of grass blowing in a breeze.
