Seeds of Change
The theme - Seeds of Change - will showcase how the region’s best green thumbs are fearlessly embracing new plants, methods and materials to increase the beauty, the bountiful harvest and the ecological friendliness of their gardens and outdoor spaces.
Exhibitors Angela Rose and La Vita Bella Garden Design present Beneath, a sculpture garden inspired by the shapes, forms and textures found on the ocean floor. Undulating metal tubing sculpture and sensuous plant specimens that thrive on natural rainfall demonstrate the ecological principals of wise water usage for the artful garden.
3-D continuous line drawings made with electrical metal tubing (EMT) and repurposed aluminum cable...to explore the ideas of balance, impermanence and interconnectedness.
The following two photos of my installation were taken 3 weeks apart in April.
ART - NATURE - TIME
To entice the pedestrian off the beaten trail and down to the water's edge, is the aim. The sculpture's silvery color blends in with the winter plants just as they are about to turn green for summer.
As the plants leaf out, the metal sculptures become more visible, documenting the passage of time.
